Going mobile assists physicians in providing patients better care.
Medical software provider NCG Medical Systems Inc. announced today it has signed a private label contract with IQMax Inc., a mobile healthcare software solutions provider, to provide physicians with mobile software solutions that will improve the quality of care and reduce potential medical errors.
IQMaxʼs mobile solutions have been integrated with NCGʼs Perfect Care practice management and d-Chart EMR software to allow physicians to dictate patient information, prescribe medication and bill for their services – all through the use of a handheld device. From there, the patientʼs demographic information, along with the dictation, is electronically routed for transcription and automatically attached to the
patientʼs medical chart.
"We are proud to be a part of this advanced technology," said NCGʼs Vice President of Business Development Antonio Arias. "Through this new venture, our customers will have access to the convenience of mobile dictation and documentation". The mobile solutions enable physicians to spend more time with each patient, minimize errors, eliminate paper-based records, reduce costs and improve patient care. By using a mobile hand-held device, physicians can better document each visit and quickly capture E&M codes thereby allowing greater flexibility and efficiency.
"With nearly 60 percent of all physicians already using a PDA, mobile dictation and charge capture greatly improves the workflow process and further enhances the value of mobile technology in patient care," said IQMaxʼs Vice President of Marketing Alan Hansen. "And with the integration to NCGʼs software packages, NCG clients will realize an even greater benefit from their investment in the NCG solution. About NCG Medical Systems, Inc.
